Sarah Thompson – BVMS,MRCVS


Dr. Sarah Thompson

Growing up,  Sarah Thompson’s father and grandfather had horses on their farms. Before Vet school, she worked on a 300-mare Thoroughbred stud farm and at the local racecourse.  In university,  Sarah was a part of Edinburgh’s Exmoor Pony trekking club where she tended to the Exmoor herd and helped organize pony treks in the Pentland hills.

After graduating in 2018, Dr. Thompson moved to Hong Kong and underwent an externship at Dubai Equine Hospital and then an internship with Hong Kong Jockey Club.  In 2020 she had her own practice in Jamaica, caring for local racehorses and polo ponies, before moving back to the UK in 2021 to work at Blue Bell Equine.

Dr. Thompson’s last stop before coming to the States was a fellowship in imaging at the Royal Veterinary College where she gained training on acquiring and reporting all imaging modalities and taught vet students.
